A Wedding… IN HAWAII?!?!?! Josh and Rebecca June 1st, 2011

This is their story:

It all started St. Patrick’s day 2008 at Joshua’s house during a party. She was impressed by his dance moves doing the robot… he thought she was the cutest thing he’d ever seen and had to make her his.

On April 5th, 1985 Rebecca Jane Wyatt was born in Valparaiso, Indiana. She grew up in Portage, Indiana with her sisters Rachel and Holly. She played softball and volleyball and graduated from Portage High School in 2003. After high school, she attended Butler University in Indianapolis and 6 LONG years later, she graduated from Pharmacy school.

Joshua Edward Brodlieb, born February 10th, 1983 in Plantation, Florida, grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Bailey, Colorado with his younger brother Jason. He graduated from Platte Canyon High School in 2000 and continued to college at the University of Northern Colorado. He majored in Psychology, was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda, and graduated in 2005.

After college, Becca moved to Phoenix to work for Walgreens and Josh… Well Josh spent his time looking for the perfect job. He came up short and returned to school.

Josh and Becca had a bit of an unusual and extreme first date. Josh, having only recently met Becca at his house party, flew to Indiana, and met Becca for lunch. They continued their date at the Children’s museum, enjoyed a minor league baseball game, and somehow found the time to drive to Kentucky so Josh could meet Becca’s parents.

Did I mention, Josh and Rebecca had their first kiss while he was in Indiana? May 27th, 2008. It happened at the airport… Oh no, it wasn’t a goodbye kiss, it was a “hello” kiss. When Becca met Josh at the airport he wasn’t sure what to say… So he leaned in and kissed her.

Unfortunately, it would be over a year before they would be together again. Love sick for his Rebecca, Josh moved to Phoenix and they spent the next year together. They moved to Colorado and during a hike in Evergreen, at the top of 3 Sisters, Josh asked Becca to take a photo. She turned to retrieve her camera and when she turned back, Josh was on one knee.

Everyone said they were crazy, but Becca KNEW she would regret not giving Josh a chance.
